Description
NYC purchased a large block of 3500 40′ PS-1 boxcars from Pullman-Standard in 1950-51. The cars came in three lots: 1500, 1000 and 1000 cars each, assigned to NYCS lots 798-B, 808-B and 817-B.
The NYC cars were repainted in the Gothic Style lettering showing starting in 1955, with oxide red sides. Some may have received black ends, roof and underframe.
Includes two of the artwork shown, lettering one car. Suggested model is a modified Kadee PS-1v.
